It’s all about art and music for Joanne Juskus Bond. Singing, playing the piano, drawing, painting, graphics and typography have always been her loves. And telling people what to do followed naturally, especially since she comes from a family of teachers. It wasn’t difficult to connect the dots with this skill set. Joanne—by day—for 30+ years successfully ran Joanne Juskus Design and taught her voice students, and in the evenings and weekends she performed as singer, songwriter and pianist. Now in semi-retirement, Joanne has returned to her original love, visual art. Creating paintings with acrylic paint, hand-painted and dyed papers and mixed media, Joanne is a member of the Annapolis Arts Alliance and Art Down.

Joanne’s art and story are featured in the Spring 2025 edition of the arts and culture magazine, Upstart Annapolis.

Joanne grew up in the Mid Hudson Valley of New York State and now resides with her husband, Adrian and pup, Kurt in Annapolis, Maryland. She is the mother of three grown children and is “Mimi” to her sweet granddaughter.
